VSC Staff Get Up and Dance with Age UK Westminster

This week, members of the Victory Services Club team swapped their usual duties for their dancing shoes as they volunteered at the ‘Get Up and Dance’ event, organised by Age UK Westminster and Marble Arch BID.

The event brought local older people together for an afternoon focused on social connection, mobility and wellbeing, while giving VSC staff a fantastic opportunity to volunteer and support the local community. A total of 37 guests joined the event, enjoying an afternoon of tea, conversation and bingo before it was time to take to the dance floor.

Our volunteers helped get everyone moving with the Macarena, before guests enjoyed a wonderful performance and guided dance exercise session set to traditional Middle Eastern music. The afternoon was filled with plenty of movement, laughter and conversation.

It was fantastic to see our VSC team getting involved, having fun and giving their time to support local older people. Opportunities like this are an important part of the Club’s commitment to engaging with and giving back to the wider community.

A huge thank you to Age UK Westminster and Marble Arch BID for bringing everyone together and creating such an enjoyable and uplifting afternoon.
