Making a Difference: VSC’s Volunteering Day in the Community

Making a Difference: VSC’s Volunteering Day in the Community image

The Victory Services Club team was out in full force on 3rd June 2025 as part of a community volunteering initiative led by Marble Arch BID.

Our staff volunteers supported two community centres — Penfold Community Hub and Daventry House — with a mix of outdoor gardening and indoor well-being sessions that brought smiles all around.

At the Penfold Community Hub, VSC team members worked to restore the communal garden. Despite the weather, they cleared decaying plants, removed weeds, repaired planters, and added fresh compost — creating a safer and more vibrant space for residents to enjoy.

Over at Daventry House, plans were adapted due to a water leak, but that didn’t stop the VSC team! Instead, volunteers brought the greenery inside, helping residents pot their own herbs and flowers to take back to their rooms. The residents particularly enjoyed sweet treats, board games, and meaningful conversation with the VSC staff volunteers.

This hands-on support is part of our continued commitment to community engagement and positive social impact. We’re incredibly proud of our team’s dedication, adaptability and enthusiasm.
