MARCUS BRIGSTOCKE

Marcus Brigstocke’s talent was noted early on in his career in 1996 when he won the BBC New Comedian Award at the Edinburgh Festival. He is now regarded as a major comedy, writing and acting talent, performing stand up nationally to sell out audiences on tour.

BBC Radio 4 has become somewhat of a second home to Marcus with regular appearances on I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, The Now Show and Just A Minute; he has written and recorded three series and four specials of his hit show Giles Wemmbley-Hogg Goes Off. Most recently, he co-starred alongside Kerry Godliman, in The Wilsons Save The World, which has been recommissioned for a second series.

Marcus has notched up an impressive list of TV credits including his role as team captain on Argumental (Dave), and host of The Late Edition and I’ve Never Seen Star Wars (BBC Four). Other appearances include; Live At The Apollo (BBC One), Have I Got News For You (BBC One), Mock the Week (BBC Two), QI (BBC Two), Sorry I’ve Got No Head (BBC One), The Late Edition (BBC Four), and the 11 O’Clock Show (Channel 4).

Marcus is the master of satirical comedy and has proved to be blisteringly funny over a wide range of topics including; climate change, religious extremism, immigration, loans companies, the Special Relationship, compensation culture, women’s magazines, The EU and David Blaine, not to mention his own personal battle against his middle class roots.

Marcus has also found himself treading the boards of the West End with a critically acclaimed performance as King Arthur in Monty Python’s Spamalot and as Station Master Perks in E.Nesbit’s The Railway Children at London’s Waterloo Station in 2011.

PAUL SINHA

A trained medical doctor who is perhaps best known as the Sinnerman on the hugely popular ITV quiz show 'The Chase', Paul has been a successful comedian for a number of years. As a club comedian, he has played every major comedy club in the UK, performed in eighteen other countries across the globe, and been three times nominated for Best Club Comedian at the Chortle Awards, winning in 2014.

Paul has taken eight solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, his 2006 show Saint Or Sinha being nominated for whatever the Perrier award was called back then. His 2017 show Shout Out To My Ex had a sellout run and toured nationally, with 2018’s The Two Ages Of Man following suit. On Radio 4, Paul has appeared several times on venerable favourites Just A Minute, The Now Show, and The News Quiz; and has carved out a career in factual comedy — making programmes on cricket, the 2012 Olympics, the Magna Carta, and UK citizenship; and three series of the Rose d’Or-winning Paul Sinha’s History Revision. Alongside Marcus Berkmann, he also plays for the South of England on the long-running Round Britain Quiz. On Radio 5 Live, he is a regular (and twice series champion) on the “feisty” sports panel show Fighting Talk. At the time of writing, Paul is ranked sixth in the UK at quizzing and, in November 2017, recorded his second top-ten finish at the European Quizzing Championships.

TAMAR KATTAN

Tamer began his comedy career in Los Angeles and New York, but very quickly began to tour internationally. His over-seas experiences include tours for the troops in Afghanistan, performing at the American University in Cairo (during the Egyptian revolution) and the Edinburgh fringe in Scotland, where he received three 4 star reviews from international press. Towards the end of 2013, he moved to London for one year of international road work across Europe. Tamer was most recently featured on Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity event with Todd Glass and Hannibal Buress, won the 2015 World Series of Comedy, in 2017 won his episode of Comedy Knockout on truTV and has TV & Radio credits on BBC and SkyTV in the UK as well as in the U.S. on Fox, HULU, HGTV & truTV.

KATHARYN HENSON

Katharyn began doing stand up comedy in New York where she worked her way to regularly hosting and performing nightly all over the city. She has been seen regularly at venues including but not limited to New York Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, The Stand, and The Comic Strip as well as countless backs of bars, windowless basements, rooftops, and bathroom stalls. Currently based in London, Katharyn performs regularly at Top Secret Comedy Club and recently won The Black Out at Up the Creek. Katharyn’s other current projects include co-hosting the podcast “This American Irish Life” with Mark O’Keeffe.
In 2019, Katharyn made her Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut of her hour of stand up, “Ew Girl, You Nasty” to excellent critical review. Kate Copstick of The Scotsman exclaimed, “This show is a blast!” The Skinny awarded her **** and Pop Dust noted that “you won’t see many comics like her at the Fringe or anywhere else.” She has hosted a show in the New York Comedy Festival three years running and formerly produced two weekly shows in New York which she headlined.

In March/April 2020, Katharyn was slated to perform  in “Hot Garbage” at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with Eve Ellenbogen and also her hour, “Ew Girl, You Nasty” at the Sydney Comedy Festival. Through these shows, she hoped to finally pay off an antique ring she bought on credit. Other past projects include co-hosting “Somewhat Scientific” with Meghan Walsh and, prior to moving to London, co-hosting “Yikes Yikes Baby” with Misha Han and Mike Suarez which recorded at Riot Cast above the Comedy Cellar.

DAVID WARD MC

David Ward is in demand as both an MC and headliner in stand up comedy clubs across the UK and Europe. He has supported a number of major TV stand up comedians on tour, including Lee Hurst and Tom Stade.

He is also in demand for his TV warm up work and has performed for the troops in Kuwait and the UAE. His spontaneity made him the choice host for the heats of the BBC’s New Comedy Awards and Channel 5’s So You Think You’re Funny?.

David’s Edinburgh Festival show ‘The Whole Truth and Nothing But…’ was performed to great acclaim, proving his skills as a writer, storyteller and actor in addition to his stand up skills.
