Burns Night Dinner

Thursday 23rd January 2020

Join us for a traditional dinner to celebrate the life of Robert Burns with special guest speaker James Fairbairn, who was the former President of the Burns Club of London. The Band of the Scots Guards (ensemble) will be supporting our Burns Night event on the 23rd January 2020.

This year, we will be joined by Flight Sergeant Steve McGuinness, Royal Air Force Piper.

During over 40 years of piping, Steve has played throughout the world on many prestigious events and in front of royalty at the annual Runnymede memorial. He has performed at the Edinburgh Tattoo as soloist in 1994, as Drum Major in 1997 and on 4 other occasions. In 2009, he was the face of the tattoo, appearing in all publicity and on DVD/CD covers and media promotion worldwide.

Other events include Queen’s Silver Jubilee in London, Queen’s Birthday Parties for British Embassies in Washington, Saudi Arabia, and throughout the world.  He is still serving with RAF Music Services at RAF Northolt responsible for allocation of engagements.
