Half Term in London

Staying with us over the half term? Halloween is on its way, but fear not we’ve selected some entertaining and spooky events taking place in the Capital!

Poppy Making

Daily 10.30 – 14.00

With Remembrance Day just around the corner introduce the little ones to the concept by making a paper poppy and adding it to the Remembrance Wall at the National Army Museum in Chelsea. Free for all ages.

 Ice Skating

Open all day, booking advised.

Who doesn’t love a bit of ice skating? This year the Natural History Museum’s open-air ice rink is opening early! Visit the famous ice rink at the Natural History Museum and practise some figure skating! Afterwards, why not head into the NHM and become a scientist for a day in the museum’s hands-on science centre, where you’ll be able to explore hundreds of specimens.

Pumpkin Decorating

Thursday 25th – Friday 26th October

Learn from the pumpkin professionals as they teach you how to carve your very own pumpkin! See who can come up with the most creative carve! The workshop costs £7 and takes place in Forest Hill.

The Horniman Halloween Fair

Saturday 27th – Sunday 28th October

Get your best Halloween gear on and head down to the Horniman for a day of petrifying fun and games. Your little ones can get up close to creepy crawlies in the Wild Fangs cave while Mum and Dad can browse the arts and crafts market and indulge in tantalising tasty food and drinks for the stalls.

With all these great activities, you'll need somewhere to put your feet up afterwards, did you know the VSC has a Kids Menu?
