The Black Watch Association Dinner
We were delighted to welcome The Black Watch Association (London Branch) to the Club on 24th November for their annual Association Dinner, which was attended by over 100 guests. His Royal Highness The Prince Of Wales, who is the Royal Colonel of The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, attended the Association’s pre-dinner reception in the newly refurbished El Alamein Room. Following the departure of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, and the conclusion of the Reception, the attendees were treated to a three-course dinner in the Carisbrooke Hall. The menu included Cullen Skink, braised haunch of venison with root vegetables and barley casserole, followed by a classic Cranachan.
Air Commodore Nigel Beet CBE, Club Secretary, commented: “We were greatly honoured to welcome His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales back to the Victory Services Club. The Club was delighted to be the venue for the annual dinner of The Black Watch Association (London Branch) which has been held at the Victory Services Club since 1988. This dinner has become an important event in the Club’s calendar, and we were particularly pleased that the evening was such a great success”.
