Your June Agenda

The Great British Summer is well and truly upon us, unfortunately a lot of the events planned in London have been cancelled and postponed, however there is still lots of ways you can entertain yourself this June. We’re allowed out more often, but we’re still being advised to stay alert, so here’s some things you can do from your home.

Virtual Wine Club

If you’re missing dining at the VSC and other restaurants, why not join the Wine Workshop. The Wine Workshop is a new initiative offering the finest food and wine to be enjoyed at home. Take a look here.

Stay at Home Clay Club

Let your creativity flair with the stay at home KANA Clay Club. Art and working with your hands really does help with well-being. KANA classes will be online soon and are suitable for all, whether you've never worked with clay before, or if you’re an expert. You can sign up here.

Watch Theatre at Home

The National Theatre are continuing to broadcast some of their well-known productions, including A Streetcar Named Desire, This House and Coriolanus. They’re all free to watch. Head to The National Theatre Website to watch at home.

Virtual Train Rides

If you’re missing travelling and exploring the world why not hop aboard a virtual train ride for free. There’s lots to choose from including the Bernina Express in Switzerland, Jacobite Steam Train in Scotland or Tarumi Rail (cherry blossom tunnel) Japan. Catch your train here

Make a face covering

The Government advises to wear a face mask when out and about, so why not create your own from an old T-shirt, or purchase some decorative fabric and sew your own. Take a look at the instructions here.

VSC Baking

With all this spare time on your hands, sharpen your baking skills and try out some of our VSC Recipes. Alison Dabbs the VSC’s pastry Chef has revealed her recipes for Soda bread, cinnamon rolls, scones and biscuits. Take a look here at the recipes and don’t forget to share your creations with us!
