VE Day with the VSC

If circumstances were different we would be welcoming you to the Club, for VE Day celebrations, however you can still celebrate from the comfort of your home or even a social distancing street party! The live-in VSC Team have decorated the Club in celebration of VE Day.

May 8, 1945, was the date Britain and its Allies celebrated the defeat of the Nazi regime after Germany signed its unconditional surrender on May 7. Wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill declared May 8 a public holiday and Victory in Europe (VE) Day was met with parties, dancing and singing in the streets, this is likely to be quite difficult under the current circumstances of lockdown, but there’s plenty of other ways in which you and your loved ones can celebrate.

Here’s a run-down of the day on Friday.
