The Sandhurst Foundation
The Sandhurst Foundation is a charitable organisation set up by The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
The Foundation’s core support comes from an Association made up from all serving officers past and present and those with a special affinity for the Academy. It also offers Affiliate membership to those with a particular interest in leadership related issues.
The Foundation is offering a range of alumnus type benefits including a roving e mail address to allow members to remain in contact easily, particularly to make the most of the user friendly facility to arrange Reunions and other events.
Over the last 3 years we have successfully organised 32 Reunions, 40 Weddings and 19 Christenings. Other benefits include preferential rates for receptions, savings on a variety of commercial and professional services, an annual journal, which focuses on Leadership and the Academy and other monthly publications, access to the Academy grounds on request, tours, battlefield tours and selected seminars and symposia.
The range of benefits continues to grow along with the wider ambition to set up a Leadership Forum with its own academic heart. The first step in this process has been the development of a programme of Leadership Encounters, informal lectures and supper at the Academy every couple of months. These and other events will evolve to meet members’ aspirations.
The Sandhurst Foundation is one of the most exciting developments at the Academy for many years. We hope that all present and former officers and those with a love of Sandhurst, its values and excellence, will wish to be part of this unique venture. It is only £10 per annum!!
